The Bible Quilt Group

Description:  The Bible Sampler Quilt is a collection of 96 patterns pairing a classic quilt block with a Bible verse.  The book was compiled by Laurie Hird.  The blocks in the book tell the story of the Bible in chronological order from Creation to Revelation.  There are 12 rows in the quilt with 8 blocks in each row, which is perfect for our 12-month group.  The CD that accompanies the book includes block diagrams, templates for hand or machine piecing, rotary cutting instructions where applicable and foundation paper piecing patterns.  Most in the group will do paper piecing, so that is what will be focused on, but you may use any method you choose.  The finished quilt is queen size or you can make two lap size quilts (approximately 66" x 78").  This group will be scheduled to meet each month on the second Wednesday at either 10A, 1P, or 6P for twelve months.
